Look out!
The knobs on the front are plastic as are the stems that you attached the knobs to. DO NOT try to broil as your knobs will get toasted and crack. The stems that hold the knobs crack too making it difficult or impossible to turn off the burner.

I love this appliance. I would buy it again in a NY minute
This is a dream appliance. It cooks and bakes beautirully. the controls are well placed and it has a lovely appearance. the only thing I wish was different would be the area under the burners. I wish it was something other than stainless steel. It requires frequent cleaning... I love all of the baking options especially the probe. I use it all the time.
I do wish there was a trim kit for the stove.

Great range for any home chef
I love the quality, makes everything I make or bake just a bit more perfect. Easy to navigate. Boils water in seconds.
The only thing I can actually complain about or more wish for was that their were drip pans to drop in around the gas burners, possibly 3 sections of black enamel, etc. Would easily help clean up time for spills and they are to be expected. This feature would also make the appliance look fresh in case of unexpected arrivals.
Otherwise, LOVE it.ch

Great Looking - Good Performance
This is a wonderfully-designed product. We love the clean look as it sits flush with a back wall with no back panel.
The temperature probe is one of the unit's best features. This is an extremely accurate way to bring roasts and other meats up to the proper internal temperature with a very clear visual display ensuring a great meal!
Couple of issues:
- Center stove burner is extremely under-powered. I love the fact that GE engineers were looking to provide a 5th burner for the middle griddle/grill. However, the middle burner is significantly under-powered for things such as pancakes and other grill items. We move the griddle pan accessory to the side burners when using, which defeats the purpose of having the middle griddle offered.
- Fan ports for the oven are designed to eject excess oven heat right back at the cook at stovetop level. When the oven is set to a temperature of 400 degrees+, the oven vents excess heat through the back of the stovetop. The hot air blows across the stovetop making working on the stove difficult and dangerous. The ejection fan is also noisy.

This product looks and works great
This range has many of the features of the "pro" style or commercial ranges, but I think it looks better than many or them, and it's really is a pleasure to use. From reviews I've read on other brands of commercial ranges the GE Cafe is probably more reliable, too.
We made the purchase because we liked the features & the look, and also because GE cooking appliances have a great reputation; and it hasn't disappointed. The 4 different size burners all work well and offer plenty of versatility for different size pots/pans, and work well at high heats (i.e., for boiling, wok cooking, etc.) and simmering/warming at low heats.
The gas oven works great, and the electric baking and warming drawer works great as well. One point on that is, while baking with the lower oven, you have to be careful both when you pull out the drawer and when putting something in or taking it out. It takes just a bit of getting used to the relatively unusual position and the drawer itself to avoid burns or running into a foot with the drawer.
We haven't had occasion to use the central burner or griddle yet so I can't speak to that.
We do a lot of cooking in our house, and overall the appliance has met or exceeded our expectations, and I would certainly recommend this product.

Excellent Range
We are very happy with the range. Everything works as it should. We checked the over temp and it is very accurate. We get lots of complements on the appearance of the range.
Soon after we purchased our range GE change the stile of one of the burners. If I had known they were making this change I would have waited, but we are still happy with ours.
