A thing of beauty that was poorly designed
Freezer shelves are not wide enough to stay on the rails that are supposed to hold them in place, so they fall to the shelf below. We resorted to strapping tape and chopsticks to make the shelves wide enough to stay in place, or we would have a constant pile up at the bottom the freezer. The drive mechanism for the icemaker attaches to brackets, all plastic and they broke after the first year. We hardly use the icemaker and there are only three of us. We used more tape and some wood blocks to keep the drive mechanism in its proper place so the icemaker will still function. It falls down about once a week and requires re-taping and wood stacking. It is a constant annoyance. Over all it is a thing of beauty that was very poorly designed.

Stay away from this refrigerator
We have purchased G.E. appliances our entire married life of 31 years. This is the first (and perhaps the last) we've had lots of problems with. The freezer shelves have never fit properly. The temperatures inside both the fridge and freezer vary dramatically. The ice maker has been a problem and we even lost all of our food once when the light remained on overnight and heated-up the fridge. We also purchased the electric range, dishwasher and microwave (above the range). The quality of all of them is terrible. Stay away!

Awful product
It's awful! None of the freezer shelves fit. Food falls, shelf falls. In the frig the plastic cracks very easy. The selves don't slide easy. Paid 1500.00 for it! REALLY thought that this would be a very good frig/ freezer, NOT so!!! Don't spend your money on this on.
