Nonsensical thermostat
Instead of the tried and true 1-10 scale with notches for easy reference, this thermostat is marked merely Cool, Cold and Coldest ? all easily confused to anyone with poor eyesight ? with no intermediate markings to indicate the direction of the scale. It is thus easy to achieve a result contrary to your intentions and defrost when you meant to make things colder. Perhaps the designer thought he was being cool when in fact he was just being stupid.
