Great Microwave
I loved this microwave until it just quit on me! Could sure use the money from the sweepstakes to buy a new one!

unit fail after about three years
unit failed. had to buy the same one to fit into the cabinet space and to match the other Profile appliances.

Replacement for Profile Microwave above counter top
Old GE microwave magnatron went out and cost of repair was $150 - so just replaced oven. Reused the old trim kit - had to bodge things some - use part of the packing to lift one end - but it worked - and that saved another $300 for a new trim kit. Otherwise functionally almost identical. Lost some features in the cooking options - but overall its equivalent.
Oven definitely delivers in the power department - excellent there.
Hopefully this one will last as long as the old one did - about 7 years.

Quiet and quick
Excellent product, very, very quiet. Easy to clean and the stainless looks fabulous against our dark cabinets.

Great power but lacking in some features.
I miss the feature where you can make the turntable turn off. The microwave is powerful. It is large and heavy.

Can't keep one working!!!
Wished I could get away from this junk. I have purchased 3 of the microwaves over 4 years and getting ready to have to purchase another one. The space for the built-in area is such that I'm stuck buying it, because of the cut-out dimensions, or replace my kitchen cabinet. Never seems to work for more than 14 or 15 months. The refrigerator has to be repaired and parts replaced all the time and is currently in need of more repair service.
I'm so dissatisfied that I'm considering a cabinet maker before I spend the kind of money it takes to replace or repair them again!!!!!!!
Thought that GE made quality products but the Profile Microwave and Refrigerator that I have purchased; while in the process of replacing my appliances, is really making me considerer junking them all and starting over with a different brand.
Constant repairs!!!

Excellent Product, Easy to Use
I bought this one to replace a cheap microwave that never did work well. It never could bake a potato without it getting hard on the bottom. It had gotten to the point where everything took far longer than it used to and everything came out hard.
The GE cooks fast and evenly without turning food hard. It's very easy to use and most bottons give step by step prompts via the display. I don't normally like stainless steel, but this one has stainless trim with black and is very sharp looking. I'm quite pleased with the quality. My only complain is that the cord is VERY short.
