Cannot keep cold enough
Product is only 2 years old. Cannot keep refrigerator colder than 40 degrees. Product put in by builder who is now out of business. I have no receipt, therefore GE won't cover warranty.

The main circuit board went out after less than two years of use.
Unfortunately, we chose all GE Profile, top-of-the-line appliances for our new home. The built-in 48-inch refrigerator stopped working two weeks ago after less than two years of operation. It took a total of 11 days for the GE recommended service company to diagnose the problem, order the part and install it. (Try to imagine 11 days without a refrigerator!) We also discovered, after the fact, that this same service company charged us almost 60% more for the part than it would have cost us to purchase it directly from GE. Neither GE nor the service company was able to give us a reasonable explanation for this exorbitant markup. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the rest of our GE Profile appliances last a little longer than two years!

This is a nice frig, but has minor issues.
Over all this is a very nice refrigerator. The only complaints are with the doors. The are very heavy, and require some strength to open. The door shelves are limited in where they can be placed, but once your used to it, it's not something you can't live with. The installation and leveling is fairly simple and well within the capability of a do-it-yourselfer (as long as you have help getting in the house as it is extremely heavy).

This product needs more interior room.
The ice maker is horrible. The ice freezes together and I have to hit is with something to break it up to come out of the ice dispenser. I called to ask if there was a replacement icemaker that could replace the one in it and they said no. How could a company design a refrigerator freezer with such a wimpy ice maker and that company be GE? I am really disappointed in this refrigerator/freeezer and will not buy another one or recommend the Profile series of refrigerators.
