Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful stove, poor assembly I have owned this stove for over a year now. We have propane so I needed to first convert it from natural gas. I did this myself, as I am very mechanically inclined. There are many nozzles that need to be replaced. This is a good thing, as it means that GE has tweaked each for a specific purpose. In order to accomplish this task, the entire stove needs to be disassembled because of the location of the nozzles within the oven and broiler areas. During the disassembly I noted that a heat shield was not fastened appropriately. I made sure to fasten it correctly upon reassembly. I also noted that the original right rear natural gas nozzle was incorrect, according to the stove's documentation. Had somebody purchased this stove for natural gas, the right rear burner would not have operated correctly. That was not a problem because I was replacing it with a propane nozzle anyways and I double checked all of their stamped numbers. However, almost all nozzles were cross-threaded and VERY difficult to remove. Fortunately the nozzles were made of brass and the part that they screwed onto was a harder material. The threads were therefore okay for the screwing on the propane nozzles. Only one nozzle was difficult to screw on because of this problem. If I move and need to put the natural gas nozzles back on I am screwed. The next problem was the air adjustment for the oven burners. There are two; one on each side of the oven. They need to be adjusted one way for propane and one way for natural gas. In my stove from the factory, one was adjust for natural gas and the other for propane. Had somebody purchased this stove for natural gas, the oven never would have worked correctly. I adjusted both for propane and the over works great. Once the stove was reassembled, I followed the instructions for adjusting the burners. Initially it appeared that it was impossible. No screw head could be seen. Upon further investigation, I noticed that there were circular pieces of cardboard in the way. I simply inserted my small screw driver through slits that were cut into the cardboard to adjust the screw. I followed the instructions to adjust the burners and it simply did not work. After much analysis, I determined that the instructions were written incorrectly and it was having me turn the screw backwards. I figured out what the goal of the adjusting screw was and adjusted it using the correct way. (My way) They quickly came into adjustment and I have never had a problem with them. The stove was designed wonderfully. We really like everything about it. Ours has a reversible the middle griddle/grill and we use it for pancakes and for grilling steaks. And yes, the three-part middle burner works incredibly well. (Some reviews of other brand stoves suggested that their models did not have enough heat.) With the griddle/grill removed it functions as a regular burner for a pot it only using the middle part of that burner, or if using all three parts of the burner, an oblong pan. Brilliant! All burners are a different size and I really like that. I do a lot of canning and it works great for this. One complaint I have is the left-front burner. When turned up to high with a large stock pot of water on it, the heat affects the burner adjusting assembly and swells it so it is sticky to turn. That burner adjuster needs to be redesigned to protect it from heat or to make it with materials that do not expand at different rates. I had planned to call GE service to get a new set of natural gas nozzles, but time slipped by and I never did. All in all, this is a wonderfully designed stove that works great for our uses. However, I removed a star because the assembly of this stove was sub-par and I am sure it has caused some customers some grief. I also wish they would redesign the left from burner regulator assembly so it does not stick when using large pots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stove This is a great stove, only two problems. The probe does not read the correct temperature sometimes it is 10* or 20* off. We can't seem to get the chef connect to work (we also have the matching microwave).
