Not very happy with this product
Just installed the cooktop today o replace an existing unit during kitchen remodel. The install of the cooktop was straight forward and easy. The issues start when you realize they made a rectangle exhaust. I spent $30 On parts to try to hook up the exhaust. Problem is, the rectangle to 6" adapter hangs so low that I can't get an elbow in in order to direct the exhaust to the location in the floor. I even tried to turn the fan towards the back like a rear exhaust and ran into the back of the cabinet. Tried to hack the pieces together and still can't get enough room. The only thing I can do is drive around tomorrow to try to find a rectangle adapter that has a built in elbow. Counter is at regular height and there is no way to move the hole in the foundation. I would certainly not recommend unless they changed it to a round exhaust on the fan.

Glass can chip and crack
This is attractive and works well, but if a pot gets pushed off a burner it will chip the glass. Very expensive to replace.

Great Looking
I've been using the cooktop for about a week. The burners work pretty good and the flame is adjustable from very high to very low. When the downdraft fan is on the flame pulls towards the vent causing uneven heating of the pan.

Design takes getting use to
Grates are very heavy, which is good, but they are not secure. The burners, which are light weight, loosely hold the grates from sliding as you move pans around. Seems well made otherwise. Don't drop anything hard on the glass. The fins over the fan intake minimizes pulling the heat away from the cookware, but its not really as big an issue as people make it out to be. Just use the fan only when needed.

Hard to clean
We purchased this unit as a direct replacement of our older GE Profile model. I'm disappointed this new model doesn't come with an interchangeable grill for the left side. This new model glass surface is also very hard to clean
