Ratings and Q&A

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features. I bought the oven about 3 months during the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful piece of technology in the kitchen Just installed so I can't attest to the longevity just yet but it is a beautiful addition to the kitchen. Love the meat probe and the convection baking. The lights inside are so bright making it very easy to check the progress without having to open the door. the controls are easy to use. The only thing I don't like is the green display lights.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED!! Controls are Confusing I have had this oven for 2 months and am not 100% happy with it. I am an avid baker and use my oven daily. These are the CONS about this oven: 1. I find the controls difficult to navigate. All the controls for the bottom oven should have been positioned in a separate area and not "mixed in" with the controls for the upper oven. Every time I turn the upper oven on and set the temperature, I have to "double check" that I put the correct oven on. 2. I do not like that the LOWEST temperature on the oven is 170 degrees. I prefer a lower temperature, 150 degrees. 3. I also do not like if I need to turn the temperature of the oven down after it was baking for a while, there is NO way to know when the oven has adjusted to the lower temperature. 4. Changing the Position of the oven racks is very tricky and not easy to do. I find this very frustrating and have finally resorted to leaving the racks at a "set" position. 5. The oven takes a long time to pre-heat to 350 degrees(approx. 18 minutes). 6. It is difficult to set the oven timer without accidently re-setting the oven temperature. Based on these issues, I would NOT recommend this model to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double oven Bought this over a month ago and love all its features!.we had one similar to this that we bought 17 years ago in our other house and never had a problem. When we moved into our present house and remodekled the kitchen there was no question we were going with GE appliances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a good double wall oven My previous GE double wall oven did not give the very even heating in convection mode that I had anticipated, and this one is the same in that respect. I liked the idea of using the steam clean option for not very large spills in the new oven, but it doesn't clean very well. I love the slide-out rack, but the others are difficult to change the level--hard to put in. Nonetheless, on regular bake mode,if I keep the racks in the same places, it does what I want an oven to do. I'm not sure I'd recommend it over any other oven. And, as my last GE didn't last very long, by oven standards, this wouldn't be my first choice. It just was the only one that would fit where the old one was.
