Garage Ready refrigerators have been designed and extensively tested for use in a garage environment, performing in ambient temperatures from 38°F to 110°F. These refrigerators can be identified by the "Dual Temp Control" option on the freezer air tower. These garage-ready refrigerators have R600a refrigerant, a global standard in household refrigeration which has shown superior energy efficiency when compared to R134a.Note: We do not recommend installing non-garage-ready refrigerators where temperatures will go below 60°F.Adjusting the refrigerator and freezer controls during peak temperature swings, high or low, ensures the compressor operates frequently enough to keep stored food at safe temperatures.
