Smart Appliances - Sonos Systems

We partnered with wireless home speaker system, Sonos®, to more fully integrate your smart appliances into your overall smart home experience. With most Sonos devices, you can receive helpful appliance notifications through your Sonos speakers throughout your home - like getting an alert that your oven is preheated. 

You get awareness of what is happening in your house without needing to walk up and check each appliance. This gives you more convenience, peace of mind, and better performance from your appliances. 

Compatibility

  • Connected Appliances: Sonos systems can be paired with compatible GE Appliances connected appliances through our smart home platform and the SmartHQ™ app. Appliances compatible with Sonos include include dishwashers, wall ovens, refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, as well as the 5-in-1 oven with Advantium technology, and our Monogram hearth oven. Eventually, this will be available will more types of appliances, like our laundry products. 

  • Sonos: Current compatible products are: Sonos One, Amp, Port, Play:5 (gen 2), Beam, One SL, Move, as well as the SYMFONISK table lamp with WiFi and SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speakers.

 

Setting Up the Sonos Integration

  1. In the SmartHQ app go to: Extras, then Convenience, and then Sonos.

  2. Follow the SmartHQ app instructions for Set Up Notification.
