Cool Touch Kettle with Digital or Manual Controls - Using the Kettle

We offer both an electric and mechanical kettle. Using your kettle properly will help keep it working reliably each day. 

Operation of Electric Model G7KD15SSPSS

  1. Do not plug the kettle in at this time.

  2. Press the lid release button to open the lid.

  3. Fill the kettle with at least 2 cups of water, taking care not to fill it over the Max line.

  4. Close the lid and place the kettle on the base.

  5. Plug in the kettle.

  6. Press the Power button located on the handle.

  7. Choose the desired temperature using the -/+ buttons.

  8. The kettle will switch off when the the water reaches the set temperature. 

  9. Press Warm to keep the water warm.

  10. Once finished, allow the unit to cool, pour out any excess water, and unplug the unit when not in use.

     

    Operation of Mechanical Model G7KE17SSPSS

    1. Do not plug the kettle in at this time.

    2. Press the lid release button to open the lid.

    3. Fill the kettle with at least 2 cups of water, taking care not to fill it over the Max line.

    4. Close the lid and place the kettle on the base.

    5. Plug in the kettle.

    6. Press the On/Off switch down. The light will come on, and the unit will start heating the water.

    7. When the water starts boiling, the unit will turn off automatically and the light will go out. 

    8. Once finished, allow the unit to cool, pour out any excess water, and unplug the unit when not in use.

     

    Safety Reminders

    • The kettle features a safety switch that shuts it down if it boils dry. If this happens, remove the kettle from the base and wait until it cools down before using it again. The kettle should ONLY be used with the base provided.

    • Make sure the lid is securely in place while the water is heating up and when pouring it out.

     

    What's Normal

    • Water might enter the steam tube and leak from the bottom of the product.
    • Boiling water might spill out of the spout.
    • The heater may remain hot for some time after the kettle is turned off.

     

    Do Not...

    • Use the kettle for anything other than the intended use.
    • Heat liquids other than water. This will tarnish the inside of the product and void the warranty.
    • Let the kettle boil dry.
