Smart Appliances - Renaming Appliances in the SmartHQ App
The SmartHQ™ app can help you manage multiple appliances, even when you have more than one model of the same type of appliance. For example, you can still use the SmartHQ app to manage your smart window air conditioners installed in different rooms, the two smart wall ovens installed in your kitchen, or even manage the smart washers you have in different homes.
When you connect an appliances in the SmartHQ app, it defaults to a basic name, like AIR CONDITIONER. If you have two connected air conditioners, you will need to rename the appliances so that you know which one you are managing.
Renaming Appliances in the SmartHQ App
- Navigate to the appropriate appliance control. For example, go to the Air Conditioner tab and click on the left pane navigation (the three lines in the top left corner).
- From there, select Product Info.
- Under Product Info, you will see “Nickname.” Select this to create your own nickname for the appliance.
