Your GE Profile™ Automatic Espresso Machines will get dirty with use. Listed below are instructions for properly cleaning your Espresso Machine and its components. These instructions are for the models P7CEBAS6RBB and P7CEBBS6RBB.

Please Note: Allow the heating element to completely cool to avoid risk of fire or injury and disconnect power prior to cleaning or service.

CAUTION: To avoid possible burns to body parts and/or other injury from hot steam, do not touch liquids or the steam wand during or after steaming. Do not remove the milk pitcher until steaming is complete. Hold the milk pitcher by the handle.

Cleaning the Coffee Brewer and Service Area:

The service area will get dirty over time with excess coffee grounds.

  • Unplug the Espresso Machine from the wall.

  • Remove the service door located on the side of the Espresso Machine by pressing on the bottom of the service door.

  • Remove the brewer. To take out the brewer, pinch both of the orange tabs to release it.

  • Use the cleaning brush and microfiber cloth provided to wipe away excess coffee grounds from the service area and coffee grinder chute.

  • Wash the coffee brewer in the sink using warm water. Make sure to air dry or wipe dry with the microfiber cloth before returning the coffee brewer to the Espresso Machine.

  • Make sure to air dry the service area before reassembling the coffee brewer.

  • Replace the coffee brewer by pressing the orange tabs again until it locks into place.

  • Replace the service door. The service door will click into place.

System Emptying:

The system emptying process empties the system of all water. Use this function when you are storing the Espresso Machine for long periods of time or not using it for a long period of time such as a vacation.

  • Press and hold down the Hot Water and Power buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to initiate the emptying process. Water will empty into the drip tray.

  • Remove the Water Tank. Then, place a small bowl under the spout or spouts on a Steam model.

  • When the System Emptying cycle ends, the Rinsing button will stop flashing and the Espresso Machine will return to the Powered On state.
