Semi Automatic Espresso Machine - Care and Cleaning

Your GE Profile™ Semi Automatic Espresso Machines will get dirty with use. Listed below are instructions for properly cleaning your Espresso Machine and its components. These instructions are for the model P7CESAS6RBB.

Please Note: Allow the heating element to completely cool to avoid risk of fire or injury and disconnect power prior to cleaning or service.

CAUTION: To avoid possible burns to body parts and/or other injury from hot steam, do not touch liquids or the steam wand during or after steaming. Do not remove the milk pitcher until steaming is complete. Hold the milk pitcher by the handle.

Cleaning the Espresso Machine:

  • Unplug the Espresso Machine from the wall.

  • Pour out all water left in the Water Tank and the Drip Tray. Then, hand wash the Water Tank and Drip Tray. Allow these to air dry or you can towel dry.

  • Wipe down the Espresso Machine using a non-scratch cloth such as a microfiber cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.

  • Do not place any part of the Espresso Machine in the dishwasher. Hand wash only!

Please Note: When the Espresso Machine is not in use for a long period of time, such as a vacation, you should run the System Empty cycle, dry the water tank and open the water tank lid.

  • Place the Bean Hopper back into place.

Please Note: Do not use your hands to wipe away coffee grounds. Only use the brushes provided.

  • Press and hold down the Power and Double buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to put the Espresso Machine into the System Emptying mode.

  • The system will empty water into the Drip Tray and return to idle when complete.
