GE Stand Mixer - Cleaning the Mixer, Bowl, and Attachments

The GE Tilt-Head stand mixer design is stylish and versatile, plus it reduces machine "crud cracks" to make cleaning the appliance easy.  In fact, cleaning the appliance body is as simple as wiping it with a damp cloth.

Cleaning the Accessories and Attachments

  • Bowl / Bowl Lid - Wash in the sink with warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.

  • Whisk - Wash in the sink with warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.

  • Beater - Wash in the sink with warm, soapy water. Do not place in the dishwasher.

  • Dough Hook - Wash in the sink with warm, soapy water. Do not place in the dishwasher.

Removing the Attachment for Cleaning

  1. When finished, rotate the control knob back to the Off ("0") position and unplug the stand mixer.

  2. If the splatter guard (bowl lid) is being used, remove it by sliding it straight off the bowl.

  3. Tilt the mixer head up until it clicks into place.

  4. Remove the attachment by turning the attachment clockwise and pulling it down out from the mixer.

  5. Remove the bowl by turning it counter-clockwise and lifting up.

  6. Release the lock lever by sliding to the right and pushing the head of the mixer down.
