GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Display Not Responding
The GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo has an LCD display that responds to your touch. If you're tapping one of the selections on the display and the control is not responding, there are two reasons this can occur.
Display Not Responding to Input
First Time Using the UltraFast Combo
The display panel has a protective film on the screen that is peeled off when it is installed. If the film is not removed, it could keep the touchscreen from responding. Gently peel back a corner of the film and pull slowly across until it has been removed.
Child Lock is Engaged
You can lock the controls to keep selections from accidentally being made when the Combo isn't in use, You can also lock or unlock the controls after you have started a cycle. This is helpful for keeping children from accidentally starting the Combo.
To lock or unlock the Combo controls, press and hold the Extra Rinse button for 3 seconds. This acts as the control lock out. When you lock or unlock the controls, you'll hear a sound and the control lock icon will light up on the display. You will be able to use the Power button when the Control Lock is active.
Support
If you find that the display is still not responding, try unplugging it for 30 seconds as a reset. If this doesn't help, then the next step is to contact a service technician for diagnosis and repair. You can schedule an appointment at
Bodewell.
