Any damage to a microwave or Advantium door such as cracks, scratches, peeling, or burn marks, will require service.

Repairing or Adjusting the Door on a Microwave or Advantium Oven

If the paint or coating on the door is compromised, the microwave or Advantium oven should not be used until it has been checked by service; it typically requires a repair.

 

Federal law requires that any adjustment or repair of a microwave door also be followed up by a leak test to make sure of proper fit, operation, and alignment. This must be done by a qualified technician.

 

Replacing microwave or Advantium handles requires disassembly of the door, and therefore also should be replaced by a service technician.
