Wall Oven & Range - Cleaning Exterior Window and Door

Only clean the door when it is cool. Marinades, fruit juices, tomato sauces or any other liquids containing acids may cause discoloration and should be wiped up immediately when the surface is cool.

To Clean the Exterior Window and Door:

  1. Use soap and water to thoroughly clean the top, sides and front of the oven door. Do not let water or soap drip into the vent at the top of the door.

  2. Rinse and dry well.

DO NOT use oven cleaners, abrasive cleaners, strong liquid cleaners, steel wool, plastic scouring pads or cleaning powders on the exterior surfaces.

Other Cleaning for the Exterior Glass Window:

  • You can also use a non-ammonia based glass cleaner to clean the glass on the outside of the door. Use caution since ammonia can discolor black glass surfaces.

  • A vinegar and water solution (1/4 cup to two quarts of water) on the glass is also acceptable.
