GE Appliance - CleanSteel Appliances

GE Appliances introduced CleanSteel™ appliances in 2003 and in 2015 the CleanSteel™ finish was discontinued in the major appliances line-up.

  • CleanSteel is a laminate vinyl with the look of stainless but without the fingerprints.

  • Magnets stick to CleanSteel.

  • CleanSteel blends beautifully with other full stainless stainless appliances in the kitchen setting.

To clean:

  • Wipe with a clean cloth lightly dampened with kitchen appliance polish, wax or a mild liquid dish detergent.

  • Dry and polish with a clean, soft cloth.

  • CleanSteel is coated several times, therefore light scratches will not cause rusting.

Refrigerators with CleanSteel will also have traditional black handles and case. For information on removing the protective film and installing the door handles on CleanSteel refrigerators, please take a look at this video:

Note: Ranges designated as CleanSteel are actually stainless steel. They are designed to complement the CleanSteel appliance set but cannot be made with the CleanSteel laminate due to high heat created during baking and self-cleaning.
