Electric Dryer - Has No Power

If you have an electric dryer and there is no power to the appliance, there are a few basic things to check prior to scheduling a repair appointment.

Checking an Electric Dryer That Has No Power

If there is no power to the electric dryer, please review the following tips.

• Check the circuit breaker or fuse box.
• Your dryer should be on a separate, dedicated 240 volt outlet.
• A dryer requires a 30 amp fuse or circuit breaker.

If you have circuit breakers, turn the dryer breaker all the way off and back on again. Sometimes a breaker can appear to be on, but is actually partially tripped.
