Self-Cleaning Range Indicator Light Operation

On some ranges without electronic clocks, it is normal for the self-cleaning light to cycle on and off once the oven reaches the high end cleaning temperatures. The self-cleaning light, lock light, and/or fan (on models so equipped) may also come on when broiling or baking at high temperatures for long periods of time.

Some models have a new, single clean light. There are not separate clean and lock lights. The single clean light will come on as soon as the oven is set for cleaning. It will not indicate when the oven door locks. For model specific information please refer to the Owner's Manual. Download a copy of the Owner's Manual.

Note: On models with a separate clean and lock light, the lock light will not come on until the oven reaches approximately 550-600 degrees. After the lock light comes on, the oven door cannot be unlocked until the oven has cooled down after completing the clean cycle.
