Dishwasher How to Remove Mildew

To remove mildew from the interior or gasket of the dishwasher:

1. Mix 3 cups of water with 1/2 cup of bleach.
2. Using the solution listed above and a cloth or sponge, clean gasket or dishwasher interior to remove mildew.
3. Run dishwasher through a rinse cycle to remove any residual cleaner prior to next use. This will not harm the interior, gasket, or outside surface of the dishwasher.

 

Do not use abrasive cleaners or concentrated cleaners. Under no circumstances should you ever mix chlorine bleach and ammonia. Doing so could create toxic fumes.
