 When using a gas range, you may notice an orange glow in the oven. This is normal.

Understanding the Orange Glow or Flame In a Gas Oven

The top (Broil) and bottom (Bake/Roast) oven burners have glo-bar igniters which will produce an orange glow when the oven is on. These igniters will cycle ON and OFF to maintain oven temperature. The orange glow is a normal condition of the oven and is often mistaken for the flame.
