- Load clothes.
- Load detergent and other laundry products that you may need.
- Press the Power button. The first time the washer is plugged in, you may see a 15 second delay with the display coming on. The computer is checking the system - this is normal.
- Select the cycle. For example: Whites, Normal, Speed Wash.
- Press Start.
- For 15 seconds, the washer's computer checks the system and then locks the door.
- The basket turns 1/4-turn clockwise, then counter-clockwise and unlocks the door. This is called the Child Safety procedure.
- The system pauses for ~15 seconds with the door unlocked to allow a child to get out. The system locks the door and does a dry spin to determine the weight of the clothes in the washer.
- If this is a Front Load model with a bulk dispenser, the first time it is used a 2 minute delay happens while the system charges the pumps for SmartDispenseā¢.
- Water is then added and the washer does a spin to better determine the weight of the clothes.
- The system begins filling with water based on the weight of the clothes and starts the wash process. This is about 60 seconds after Start was pressed or 3 minutes for SmartDispense.
