Washer - HE Detergent
Liquid or powder HE (High Efficiency) detergents deliver superior cleaning performance while saving water and energy. HE detergents are low-sudsing and specially formulated for high efficiency washers to provide excellent whitening, stain removal and clothes care. They are recommended for use in all of our washers.
As an example, Tide HE detergent has been optimized to work best in the low water levels of HE washers. Outstanding whiteness maintenance is provided by ingredients that suspend dirt away from clothes in the wash and help prevent dye transfer from one garment to another. This is very important in a low water wash.

Detergent pods and detergent sheets may be used but must be placed in the basket before adding the clothes. Do not place pods in the dispenser drawer unless you have a washer with a special dispenser designed specifically for pods.

Homemade laundry detergent has not been tested; therefore, we do not recommend using it in high efficiency washers.

Detergent usage may need to be adjusted for water temperature, water hardness, size and soil level of the load. Avoid using too much detergent in your washer, as it can lead to over-sudsing and detergent residue being left on the clothes.
For washers that feature a detergent dispenser drawer, when using liquid detergent, make sure the detergent box and insert are in place. For powdered detergent, remove both the detergent box and insert. Powdered detergent will not dispense with the detergent box and insert in place.
If using a non-HE detergent or any other type of detergent (including all-natural products), make sure that it is made of non-flammable ingredients.
