Refrigerator Water in the Vegetable Pan
If there is water in the vegetable bins in the refrigerator, it may be caused by one of the following:
- If the bin has an adjustable temperature setting, be sure it is set at the appropriate level for the foods stored in the bin. Setting the lever all the way up maintains normal refrigerator temperatures which is perfect for normal storage of fruits and vegetables. Setting the lever all the way down opens a damper where cold air flows directly in from the freezer compartment making the bin very cold. This is perfect for the storage of fresh meats
- Low usage can be a factor. Turn the temperature setting up slightly to increase airflow.
- A heavy food load, or too much moisture laden food can cause issues with excess moisture
- The situation can also be addressed by leaving the vegetable bin slightly ajar.
