Electric Range Operation of the Elements During Bake

In electric ovens the bake element cycles on and off as needed to maintain an accurate baking temperature. You can see that the bake element is working because of the red glow it gives off. The broil element too, (in most models) is also on, but it does not glow red. When in bake, the broil element is also energized periodically throughout the bake cycle.
