Dryer - SENSE Scrolling in Display

Some Dryers that feature an electronic, digital display will show the Estimated Total Cycle Time in the display when the drying cycle is selected. On Dryers with "Est Total Cycle Time" on the control panel, the word SENSE may scroll in the display after a dry cycle is selected. We are explaining what is occurring when you see SENSE in the display below.

Seeing the Word SENSE Scrolling in the Control Panel Display on a Dryer

1. The estimated dry time will show in the display for 3 minutes.

2. The display then scrolls SENSE in the display while the Dryer is blowing warm air.

3. Once the exhaust air temperature has reached the pre-set limit, the display switches to the remaining estimated dry time.

Depending on the vent conditions, the remaining dry time displayed could be longer than the initial estimated dry time. The Dryer will learn after every cycle and adjust the estimated dry time over a short period of time.
