Range & Wall Oven - Steam Clean
Many Ranges and Wall Ovens offer a Steam Clean option, sometimes called a Light Self Clean option, for easily cleaning small spills using water and a lower cleaning temperature than a Self-Clean cycle. The racks can be left in the oven when using the Steam Clean option. The steam will loosen soil on the racks as well as the oven interior. The soil can then be wiped off the oven interior and racks using a cloth dampened with warm, soapy water. The Steam Clean option is quicker and cooler than using the Self-Clean cycle.Features of Steam Clean

Facts About Steam Clean
- There is not a temperature associated with the Steam Clean option. It gets hot enough to generate some steam.
- There may be water remaining in the bottom of the oven when the Steam Cycle is complete. This could be up to a 1/2 cup of water. This is normal and should be wiped up when you're wiping down the interior after using Steam Cycle.
- The steam helps hydrate food soils so that they are easier to wipe away. To remove any remaining stubborn, baked-on stains, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend using a sponge or clean cloth.
- Use water only. Do not combine vinegar with the water when using the Steam Clean option. If vinegar is used, staining and discoloration to the oven liner that cannot be removed is possible.
- On models with an automatic door lock, the door will lock for the 30 minutes that Steam Clean is on.
