Washers - Will Not Agitate (HydroWave Models)
Washers with Hydrowave have a softer and quieter agitation. You might not even know when it is operating.
Not Agitating:
-
Ensure the machine is plugged into a working outlet.
-
Washer will not agitate with the lid open.
-
Machine will not agitate until the water stops filling.
Doesn’t Agitate When Water Shuts Off:
-
It takes about 20-30 seconds for the machine to sense the load and engage the drive system after the water has stopped.
Doesn’t Agitate When The Lid Is Closed:
-
If Start/Stop button is pushed or timer knob pushed in to stop a cycle which may appear as a delayed response after turning the washer back on.
-
The washer has to sense the load and engage the drive system before going into agitate, approximately 1 minute, after restarting the washer.
-
Try lifting the lid to stop the cycle instead of pushing Start/Stop, to avoid the delayed start response.
Agitation Test:
-
Open the lid and place a new article of clothing in the washer and note its position.
-
Close the lid. Let the washer run for a minute or two and open the lid. If the agitator is working properly, the article of clothing should have moved around in the wash.
