Range & Wall Oven - Oven Light Replacement (Glass Cover with Wire Holder)

The interior light bulb (lamp) is easy to replace. Consult the Owner's Manual for your specific model for instructions on replacing the oven light. You may also follow the instructions below which are applicable to most models with the wire holder.

 

Replacing an Oven Light with a Glass Cover with a Wire Holder

Before Replacing the Oven Light Bulb

  1. Wait until the oven is completely cool before replacing the bulb.

  2. Turn the oven light off on models with an Oven Light On/Off pad. Be sure the cover and bulb are completely cool.

  3. Disconnect power to the appliance.

Removing and Replacing the Oven Light Bulb

  1. Hold a hand under the cover so it doesn't fall.

  2. With the fingers of the same hand, firmly push back the wire cover holder.

  3. Lift off the cover.

  4. Replace the bulb with a 40-watt household appliance bulb.

  5. To replace the cover, place it in the groove of the light receptacle and pull the wire forward to the center of the cover until it snaps into place.

Note: Oven light bulb replacement is not covered under warranty.
