Top Load Washer - Sawing Noise During Agitation
If you hear a sound that is similar to a sawing back and forth noise when using a Washer, this is not necessarily an indication that a repair is needed. This is a sound that may occur during agitation on a new Top Load Washer.
Diagnosing a Sawing Noise During Agitation on a Top Load Washer
A sawing noise will occur during agitation on a new Top Load Washer when the brake pads are wearing with the breaking surface. This noise should go away after a short time.
- If the shipping rod has not been removed, the Washer will vibrate and be noisy.
- The shipping rod is located on the right side panel, toward the bottom of the Washer, in between the front and rear legs. Grab the handle of the rod and pull to remove.
Repair Service Recommended
If the sawing noise persists, we recommend scheduling a repair appointment with Bodewell.
