Oven Vent Location - Electric Free-Standing Ranges with Radiant Cooktop
Oven Vent Location
On electric free-standing ranges with a radiant glass cooktop, the oven is vented through a duct located behind the right rear burner on the backsplash. As a result, this area of the cooktop may feel warm during operation and may even appear as though the burner is on.
For free-standing, double-oven electric models, there are two oven vents—one for each oven cavity. One vent is positioned behind the right rear burner, and the other is located behind the left rear burner.
Cleaning the Vent Area
The vent area should be cleaned regularly to maintain proper performance. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the appliance from the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
Cleaning Tips
Use a solution of mild soap and water, or vinegar and water.
Do not use commercial oven cleaners, abrasive cleaning powders, steel wool, or other harsh abrasives, as these may damage the surface.
