Diagnosing a Top Load Washer That Will Agitate But Will Not Fill With Water

If the washer agitates but does not fill, it is most likely a water level pressure switch not working.

• Try resetting the water level switch and try to fill the machine again.
• On models with a mechanical dial control, you can also put timer in the spin cycle, close the lid, and spin for at least 2 minutes. Then restart the washer and see if it will fill.
