Over-the Range Microwaves - Vent Fan Coming On When Plugged In

On the over-the-range microwaves, it is possible for the vent fan to come on after the unit is first installed and plugged in. You do not need to push any buttons. Just open and close the door. It is possible that during shipping the door may have become misaligned

It may be necessary to open and close the door two or three times but no more than four. If this does not correct the situation, unplug the microwave from the wall outlet and contact service.  For service, please schedule an appointment with Bodewell.
