Dishwasher - Drain Hoses

All GE Appliances built-in dishwashers manufactured since July 1989 include a drain hose with an inside diameter (I.D.) of 5/8".

Understanding the Drain Hose on a Built-In Dishwasher

• The hose furnished is 78" in length. Model numbers starting with GDF/GDT/PDT/CDT/DDT/ADT/ZDT can drain up to 12 feet. All other built-in models can drain up to 10 feet. If an air gap is not required, the drain hose must have a 32" high loop from the floor.
• There is a 10' and a 12' drain hose available through our GE Appliances Parts & Accessories website. The GE Appliance part numbers are: 10' drain hose, part number WD24X34763 and 12' drain hose, part number WD24X10065.

Note: Dishwashers produced before July 1989 used a nylon-reinforced drain hose with an outer diameter (O.D.) of 5/8" or an inside diameter (I.D.) of 1/2". Hoses in this size should be available at any hardware or home improvement store.
