Use of Commercial Oven Cleaner in Continuous Clean Ovens

Do not use commercial oven cleaners in continuous clean ovens because it will damage the porous surface.

Continuous-clean interiors have a special coating that will handle and remove small spills/spatters with normal use of the oven. For larger spills, the oven is equipped with a removable and replaceable aluminum oven bottom liner, which protects the porous finish on the bottom of the oven from spillovers.

If soil becomes heavy on porous surfaces, it is possible to remove it by operating the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for four hours. This process may be repeated if necessary. It is best to set the timer for this operation to make it convenient and controlled.

Caution: The aluminum oven bottom must be removed before this operation. This cleaning process will cause the door, window and other surfaces will get hot enough to cause burns. Do not touch. Let the range cool before replacing the aluminum oven bottom.
