Wine Temperature Information

The appropriate temperature setting inside a wine chiller or wine reserve will depend on the need.

  • Red Wine – Storing temperature 55 degrees, serving temperature (room temperature) 45 - 55 degrees.

  • White Wine - Storing temperature 55 degrees, serving temperature 65 - 72 degrees.

When storing red and white wine at 55 degrees you can use the 20/20 rule of thumb for approximate serving temperature:

  • Red wine remove and place on table for 20 minutes the wine should reach just below average room temperature.

  • White wine remove and place in a bucket of ice and water for 20 minutes the wine should chill to the mid 40 degree range.
