Monogram Ice Maker - How It Operates
Monogram cubed ice makers provide large quantities of fresh ice so you will always have ice handy.
How It Works
-
Water constantly circulates over a freezing plate. As the water freezes into ice, the minerals in the water are rejected. This produces a clear sheet of ice with a low mineral content.
-
When the desired thickness is reached, the ice sheet is released and slides onto a cutter grid. The grid divides the sheet into individual cubes.
-
Water containing rejected minerals is drained after each freezing cycle.
-
Fresh water enters the machine for the next ice making cycle.
-
Cubes fall into the storage bin.
-
The bin is not a freezer, so you will have ice melting constantly. As the older cubes melt, new ice is made.
-
The unit needs a way to drain the water, either to a floor drain or with a pump accessory.
-
-
The ice maker automatically shuts off when the bin is full. The ice maker will restart when more ice is needed.
-
An ice level sensor in the storage bin will monitor the ice levels.
