Monogram Professional Hood Installation

All Monogram Professional hoods weigh over 100 lbs, so they must have adequate structural support. They can be installed onto a wall or under a soffit only. The hood must be secured to vertical wall studs or to studs in a soffit.

 

It is strongly recommended that the vent hood and duct covers (if used) be on site before the final framing and wall finishing is completed. This will make placing the ductwork and electrical service easier. It is also recommended that the hood be installed before the range or cooktop is in place.

 

If the ductwork is visible, 6" and 12" duct covers can be purchased to conceal the ductwork. They can be stacked in various combinations to reach ceiling heights.
