Gas Range - Tri-Ring Burner
Select models of gas ranges feature a tri-ring burner. The tri-ring burner is a versatile burner that offers three different-sized flame rings on a single burner element, so it's like having three burners in one.
Understanding the Use of the Tri-Ring Burner on a Gas Range
The versatile tri-ring burner can go from gently melting butter or gradually reducing a sauce with its 140 degree simmer to quickly boiling with up to 21,000 BTUs of power, depending on the model.
There are three rings to the burner head that are used on different settings. On Low, you will see flames around the small center portion of the burner head. On Medium, there also low flames under the middle rim of the burner head. On High, you will see flames around the outside rim of the burner head.
