Dishwasher - Hidden Heater

Some dishwasher models feature a hidden heater. On many dishwashers you can see a heating element in the bottom of the appliance. The heating element is not visible in the models with the hidden heater feature.

Understanding the Hidden Heater Feature In a Dishwasher

The 1,000 watt hidden inline heater under the stainless floor, next to the sump assembly, quickly heats water during the cycle. The heating element is an "O" ring in the pump and heats the water as it passes through. When Power Dry is selected, the water in the Rinse cycle is heated up to 155 degrees Fahrenheit to aid in the drying process.

Benefits of the Hidden Heater

  • The heater is integrated into the wash pump assembly.
  • There is no exposed heating element and no chance of accidentally touching a hot element.
  • Items can't fall onto the element and melt.
  • "Top Rack Only" plastic items can be placed in the lower rack.

Models With the Hidden Heater Also Include These Features

  • Fan Assist Dry with hidden fan to circulate the warm air.
  • Hidden Vent for a clean interior and exterior appearance.
