Microwave - Tripping Circuit Breaker

It is not expected that a microwave oven will cause the fuse or circuit breaker to trip when it is being used. Should this be happening to you, please check the following suggestion before scheduling repair service.

Microwave Tripping a Circuit Breaker or Fuse

If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker, the following may resolve the concern.

1. Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit.
2. Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time.
3. If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact service.
