Upright Freezer - Refrigerated Shelves

Some manual defrost upright freezers contain refrigerated shelves. These shelves are made of steel evaporator tubing with steel cross wires, zinc coating and lacquer coating for extra protection. The refrigerated shelves are fixed and cannot be removed or adjusted.

 

• When food is placed on a refrigerated shelf the food item freezes faster than on a regular shelf.

• Frost free upright freezer models have steel wire shelves with a zinc coating.

 

Not all shelves in the manual defrost upright freezer are refrigerated.
