Washer - Normal Noise When Draining
It is normal for your washer to make some sounds or noises during operation. While the washer is draining, the sounds listed below are normal sounds that may occur.
Understanding Sounds or Noises Heard When a Washer Is Draining
Sucking/Slurping/Gurgling
Sucking, slurping, or gurgling noises may be heard early in the spin cycle and are caused by the pump extracting water from the clothing. These noises will diminish toward the end of the spin cycle once all the water has been removed from the clothes.
Banging
A banging noise heard during a drain cycle can be caused by the drain hose hitting against the back of the washer. This can occur if the drain hose is not secured properly. Check the Installation Instructions for information on proper installation of drain hose on your specific model.
