Installation Gas Pressure - Cooking Products

Gas pressure is measured in Water Column. Most gas cooking appliances operate on 4"-5" WCP (WCP = water column pressure).

 

• Most homes and businesses have 6"-7" water column pressure furnished to the gas meter.
• On LP gas the WCP may rise to 11". 1" of water column is equal to .03609 PSI (pounds per square inch).
