Air Conditioners Wall Case Replacement

When replacing an old GE Appliances wall air conditioner, we strongly recommend the removal of the old wall case and the installation of a new GE wall case.

  • If you decide to keep the existing wall case, you may need a kit to ensure proper fit and performance.
  • There should not be any gaps between the unit and the wall case, along the sides or top of the air conditioner.
  • The rear of the unit should be flush with the vertical splitters or rear grille for proper air flow.

If the new air conditioner's chassis does not fit the wall case exactly, you run the risk of poor performance or product failure. This would not be covered under manufacturers warranty as it is not product failure.
