Range - No Power; Not Coming On

If your range is not coming on and appears to have no power to it, there are a few things to check prior to scheduling a repair.

Checking a Range With No Power / Not Coming On

If your range is not coming on and there is no power such as no lights or operational controls, please consider the following tips.

  1. Make sure power cord is plugged in firmly. You may need to remove the storage drawer, on models so equipped, to see the power cord.
  2. If the cord appears to be okay, locate the circuit breaker for the range. Flip the breaker to the OFF position and then back ON.
  3. If you are able to do so, you can pull the range forward and check the power cord connection on the back of the range. Check the power cord for a loose connection or any burned or broken wires.
