Range & Wall Oven - Cleaning Control Panel

We recommend keeping the control panel on a Range or Wall Oven clean. It is a good idea to wipe down the control panel after each use. This prevents soil build-up and makes it easier to maintain.

Cleaning the Control Panel on a Range or Wall Oven

When cleaning the control panel on your Range or Wall Oven, we recommend that you use a solution of mild dishwashing liquid with warm water with a clean damp cloth to wipe the control panel. Rinse the area after cleaning with a clean damp cloth and buff dry. You can also use a solution of vinegar and water to clean the control panel.

  • Do not use abrasives of any kind on the control panel. Be especially careful with any lettering on the surface. Rubbing too hard or using any abrasive could cause the lettering to rub off or could scratch the surface.
  • For models with an LCD touch screen control panel, we recommend locking the control panel when cleaning. Consult the Owner's Manual for the specific model you own for instructions on locking the controls.
