Range & Wall Oven - Cleaning Sure Grip Oven Door Handle

GE Appliances had a soft "Sure Grip" handle beginning in 1994 on Profile 'T' series models. This handle design was offered for a number of years but is no longer used on current models. The handle is a designer style handle that is a molded durable rubber or metal. It is designed with finger indentions on the back of the handle for a comfort grip. This article describes the best way to maintain this style of oven door handle.

Cleaning For Sure Grip or Soft Touch Handles

Warm soapy water or a non-abrasive all purpose cleaner can be used. Avoid using heavy-duty products as they may contain chemicals which could damage the Sure Grip handles.

Remember the following:

  • Warm, soapy water
  • Baking soda and water
  • DO NOT use any abrasive

For model specific information, consult the Owner's Manual for the model you own.
